Diwali Lighting

Welcome Every Guest – and Every Blessing – With Light.

Does your home go dark the moment Diwali guests arrive after sunset? The holiday that’s literally about light gets none of it outdoors.

Professionally designed diya-inspired path lighting, warm uplighting, and custom color washes from Houston’s 50-year lighting specialists.

The Result: A home that welcomes Lakshmi – and every guest – with the warmth the holiday deserves, installed and struck by professionals so your family can focus on celebrating.

Diwali is the Festival of Lights

The story of light overcoming darkness, and of homes made ready to welcome Goddess Lakshmi and every guest who arrives after sunset. Indoors, diyas and candles carry that meaning beautifully. Outdoors, most homes still go dark the moment the sun sets, right as guests are arriving.

Laymance Lighting designs and installs outdoor lighting built around that meaning – warm, welcoming, and true to the traditions of the families we serve.

How It Works

Free in-home consultation – we learn your home, your gathering plans, and your family’s traditions.

Custom design – a lighting plan built for your architecture, not a generic package.

Professional installation – done well before Dhanteras, so you’re ready for all five days.

Optional teardown or transition – many families carry their lighting straight into the December holiday season.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Do you work with all Diwali traditions, not just one community?

Yes. Our installers work with Gujarati, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, Bengali, Marathi, and other Houston-area families, and tailor designs to your household’s specific traditions and gathering plans.

  • How far in advance should I book?

We recommend scheduling your consultation by mid-October to guarantee installation before Dhanteras (Nov. 6, 2026).

  • Can this lighting carry into December?

Many clients choose a design flexible enough to transition into winter holiday lighting – ask your installer about options during your consultation.

  • How much does Diwali outdoor lighting cost?

Pricing depends on your home’s size, the design you choose, and how many days you’d like lighting for. We’ll give you an exact quote at your free consultation — no generic package pricing, since every home and family’s needs are different.

  • Will the installation damage my home’s exterior or landscaping?

No. Our team uses professional-grade mounting techniques designed for temporary seasonal installs, the same approach we use for our December holiday lighting clients. Your home and landscaping are left exactly as we found them.

  • How long does installation take?

Most homes are completed in a single day. We schedule installations with enough lead time before Dhanteras (Nov. 6) so there’s no rush and no risk to your timeline.

  • Do you offer lighting removal after Diwali?

Yes. We offer optional teardown once the five days of celebration end, or we can leave your lighting in place and simply adjust the design if you’d like to carry it into the December holiday season.

  • I live in an HOA-restricted neighborhood. Can you still install?

In most cases, yes. Our designers are experienced working within HOA guidelines common in Sugar Land, Katy, and Bellaire communities, and can tailor a design that fits your neighborhood’s rules.

  • Can I request specific colors or elements tied to my family’s traditions (Gujarati, Punjabi, Tamil, Sikh, etc.)?

Absolutely. Your consultation is built around your household’s specific traditions and gathering plans, not a generic template — colors, patterns, and placement can all be tailored.

  • Can you light sculptures and three-dimensional pieces?

Yes. Three-dimensional art actually benefits enormously from thoughtful lighting. Proper angle, intensity, and layering of light sources bring out texture, depth, and dimension in ways that flat overhead lighting simply cannot.
